SS. Peter and Paul School is committed to providing its students with a demanding curriculum designed to prepare them for high school academia and provide them with a life-long set of social, intellectual and moral tools.

 

Religion: Daily instruction; Prayer; Liturgy; Service projects; Sacramental Instruction; Gospel Weekly (Grades 5 and 6)

 

Social Studies: Emphasizing man’s past as a means of shaping his future; Geography Skills

 

Science: Physical Science, Life Science, and Earth Science

 

Mathematics: Emphasis on basic skill development for lifetime application; Pre-Algebra; Problem solving

 

Language Arts: Emphasizing good communication skills in writing, listening and speaking

 

Reading: Whole group with flexible grouping instruction; Phonetic based program; Literature; Library Skills; Sustained silent reading

 

Computer Education: Hands-on instruction in database, keyboarding, word processing, etc. in the computer lab; classroom computers for remediation; independent and supplemental work. An Internet Acceptable Use Policy is sent home at the beginning of each year.

 

Music: Weekly instruction with exposure to various different types of music; Music appreciation

 

Art: Weekly projects often tied to other aspects of the curriculum

 

Physical Education: Weekly program to promote health and fitness

 

Early Prevention of School Failure: small group modality instruction for students in pre-school and kindergarten
